Time for my first blog from New York, more presicely Coney Island. I brought my Mamiya on a hot summer day to join the Mermaid Parade. Every year on this very day the most beautiful mermaid, among thousands, is awarded the price 'Mermaid of the Year'.
As I followed the parade I found out that many see this day as an opportunity to dress up, live out a dream, get out of their suits and dresses and for a day just dance, sing and love.
